The Role of Terms in Titles of Literary Works in English Language

A large number of works is devoted to the study of non-fiction books in different languages. The literary works were investigated from various points of view. Speech of the author and characters, compositional, stylistic and grammatical features were studied as well as cognitive functions of some language structures. The works of such linguists as Galich G. G., Khovanskaya Z. I., Lukin V. A., Karasik V. I., Mazilova A. Yu., Kukharenko V. A., Brandes M. P. were devoted to the study of these issues . The purpose of this article is to identify the role of headings in revealing the idea and content of literary works by English and American writers, who used a lot of scientific and technical terms, which also became the titles of works. The title is considered as strong position of any text and contains great semantic influence [1, p. 92].
